Kelly has been at his craft for 24 yrs. Owning a salon in Knoxville for 6 years and then moving to Nashville and making Nashville home. Opening Green Pea Salon almost 6 years ago he has attracted an amazing team that is dedicated to customizing the most up to date styles for every client. A proud Nashvillian who gains inspiration from the vibrant city in which he lives.
Erika has been working as a hair stylist for seven years. With a background in engineering, she enjoys structuring the hair into new styles and experimenting with hair colour. As a Bumble and Bumble Network Educator, she can help you find the prefect look that you can recreate day after day.
Jen started her career in 2001. She serves a wide range of clientele including work in the entertainment industry. She prides herself on listening and consulting to achieve results unique to the individual. The Nashville Scene dubbed her "Nashville's Best Stylist" in 2006 and "Best Hair Stylist" in 2009. She has continued to further her education attending classes at Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica and becoming a Network Educator for Bumble and Bumble in New York.
Avery's execution of precise cutting and high quality coloring is what makes her an excellent addition to Green Pea Salon. As Avery did 9 years ago when she started in the industry, she will continue to strive for natural-looking, low maintenance hair color and styling. Believing a great haircut requires minimal styling effort, she gives the ease and confidence to achieve the same beautiful look at home. Spending time showing clients how to perfect their styling techniques so they can look great on a daily basis is her goal.
Brandon has been in the industry for over 10 years. He prides himself on a thorough consultation so that each guest enhances their natural beauty. He leans towards the more natural, conservative side of color. His passion for hair care will go unmatched. Specializing in long layered cuts, bobs, and fabulous red carpet blowouts. Brandon commits himself to constant improvement and loves education and product knowledge.
Mindy joined the styling industry in 2004 and has since grown a loyal and loving client base in the Chicagoland area. After a decade of service, she decided to make a change and let her craft flourish in a new and exciting place. Now Mindy and her bulldog, Ruby, are based in Nashville and ready to build a new life alongside a community they respect and adore. Her goal is to make beauty accessible, and she strives to provide her clients with cuts and coloring that are dynamic yet easy to manage. Always eager to learn and sharpen her skills, Mindy has attended educational sessions from Bumble and Bumble and Redken around the US. Outside of the salon, her favorite place to be is the flea-market or digging deep at an estate sale.
Rachel Lawhead started her career in 2007, with a background in graphic design and fine arts her passion for creativity launched into the beauty industry. She studied under well known artists in Scottsdale, AZ perfecting her craft and developing an eye for what really works on her clients. In 2009, she moved to Nashville and continued her journey becoming a Goldwell Master Colorist. She has had trained with Shu Uemera, Kerastase, Bumble and Bumble, and Redken. Her specialties behind the chair include color correction, hair painting, and giving her guests modern, effortless, versatile styles. Rachel is also available for on-location wedding and formal styling. Outside of the salon, she loves anything outdoors, painting, and travel.
Choyer comes to green pea salon with over 17 years of experience with advanced training in Goldwell and Bumble & Bumble. He takes a low maintenance approach to hair using natural, soft, moveable texture. Relationships are key to Choyer; through listening and understanding he enjoys building a strong client/stylist relationship.
With a background in fine art, music, and fashion, Sasch Kooienga's natural ability to do hair comes with strong skills in Japanese dry cutting, precision hair cutting, and hair painting. Trained under some of the best Vidal Sassoon educators in the nation, his work speaks for itself. Follow him on Instagram @Sascha_Kooienga

Kat comes to Green Pea Salon with a sharp eye for design. You can find her at our 12 South location for women’s hair services as well as facial waxing and make-up application. At our Charlotte Ave location, she can be found sculpting the most beautiful brows as she is certified in micro-blading.
She has participated in Nashville Fashion Week for the past few years where she brings her skill of sculpting hair into true works of art.
Kat has continued her education with Bumble&bumble, René Furterer, and Kevin Murphy for design and Goldwell, Redken, Pravana, and Paul Mitchell for color.

Naresh joins the Green Pea Salon team with over 14 years in the salon industry. In addition to styling, he has also spent time as an educator and manager. Naresh is known for taking the time to understand his client’s needs, and creating a perfectly curated look that matches their lifestyle. From the perfect bobs that takes shape itself, to a delightfully disheveled do for those that love their curling wand, Naresh will transform your style to one that is uniquely you!
His national and international education has led him to places like San Francisco, New York, and Atlanta; and has left him with skills in precision cutting, custom color placement, and balayage to name a few. He also has certifications from Great Lengths Extensions, Dreamcatchers Extensions, and several keratin smoother companies. In addition to his training, Naresh also spent 2 seasons styling hair at New York Fashion Week.
A self-proclaimed homebody, Naresh and his husband love home remodeling/flipping, gardening, and of course their 4 adorable dogs. When he has a free moment, Naresh also loves to build a cool piece of furniture.
Forest has a natural eye for color and a deep understanding of color theory. As a colorist for over five years, he has a special eye for highlighting and blondes. Forest also has a keen attention for detail when it comes to cutting hair both long and short. He has trained with several brands including Paul Mitchell, L’Oreal, Davises, and Kevin Murphy. Forest is dedicated to his craft and works daily to hone his skills while focusing on providing a great personally tailored experience.
Heather is a native Nashvillian and has been in the business since 2003. Her interest in the beauty industry was sparked after coloring her hair violet for an assignment in college.
Heather prides herself in creating a look that is tailored to each client. She specializes in color and color corrections. She has been trained in Goldwell and used this color line for over nine years. Heather has also trained with bumble and bumble, shu uemera, Kerastase, and Kevin Murphy. In her spare time she loves to travel, read and spend time outside with her family.
GREEN PEA WEST
Jenna's creativity and background in the beauty industry inspired her to start her career in hairstyling over 6 years ago. After completing her business degree at Appalachian State U and being employed as a marketing manager in Boulder, Colorado, she decided to redirect her creative and business interests to hairstyling.
Jenna attended Aveda Cincinnati, and has completed continuing education with Goldwell Santa Monica, and Bumble and Bumble. She served as a network educator for Shu Uemura and Kerastase where she trained in New York City. Her education as well as her skills over the past six years has enabled Jenna to achieve the results that her clients desire. With a keen eye for color, precision of cut, and attention to detail, Jenna exceeds her client's expectations with consistency.
Jenna now calls Nashville her home, where she resides with her adorable pup, Rosie. Her interests include gardening, cooking, hanging out and letting the good times roll.
Eric is blazing a trail with innovative techniques and skills honed with Alfaparf, Bumble & Bumble, and Aveda.

Valerie started her career almost 12 years ago attending beauty school in Tucson, AZ. She trained/worked with Toni and Guy for over a year and decided to make a move back to her home state of TN. When she made the move back she decided to enroll into a fashion design program where she earned her associates degree.
She feels fashion, hair, makeup, and attitude all relate to the beauty industry in which she so dearly loves. Valerie has been a hairstylists in Nashville for 11 years and is so excited to grow in her industry and with Green Pea. She has continued her education with training from Bumble and Bumble, Goldwell color, Shu Uemura, French haircutting, and balayage to name a few. Valerie loves all things FUN including hair!
Josh, a native Nashvillian, has always known he wanted to make people feel beautiful! After receiving his Bachelors Degree in Communications at UT Knoxville he moved to Savannah, GA to pursue his career in Cosmetology. He has 6 years of experience as a stylist, serving for the past four years at a Redken Summit Salon in the Belle Meade before joining Green Pea Salon in 2015.
He enjoys being in the high-energy atmosphere of fashion shows and has worked with local photographers on photo shoots for music industry talent. His work has been showcased in NFocus and highlighted on the cover of the February 2012 edition.
Always committed to improving and growing, Josh has received certification in Brazilian Smoothing Treatment and Babe Hair Extensions. He has attended formal training in color melting, balayage, ombre and sombre highlighting techniques. Maintaining a contemporary edge, Josh is known for his versatility with styling and his attention to detail.
Katya was originally born in Russia and has been in Nashville for 16 years. Katya's career as a hairdresser began ten years ago when there was a desire for creativity in her life and working closely with people. After spending nearly a year apprenticing for some of the best in the business in New York City, she brought her knowledge and skills back to Nashville. The year following consisted of ongoing advanced education for color, cut, and styling. Katya is inspired by people, fashion, and all things artful. She strives to deliver fine-tailored hairdressing with her strong technical abilities.
Ashley is originally from Arkansas and received her BSN from the University of Central Arkansas before relocating to Nashville in 2009. She then received her MSN at Vanderbilt University and is dual certified as a Women’s Health and Adult Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical experience includes internal medicine, general women’s health and obstetrics, interventional pain management, medically supervised weight loss and aesthetics. She received her aesthetics training through National Procedures Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is very excited to be able to offer services including botox and dermal fillers at Green Pea West.
Originally from Kentucky, Garry relocated to Nashville in 2008 to start his career as a stylist. After a few years as a stylist he chose Green Pea as the salon to grow his business in and call home for his professional life. Garry has a passion for art, style, hair, and fashion. He loves a challenge and will always find the perfect color for his guests to enhance their lifestyle. Garry has an insatiable thirst for education and advanced techniques, he spends his free time researching new ways to achieve better results. He loves to introduce guests to the art of balayage color painting, a color technique he has honed as an artist. Since becoming a Nashvillian in 2003, Adam Barnes has teased and sprayed stars from stage and screen, owned and branded his own salon, and realized a deep devotion for being an educator. He has enjoyed extensive training with companies like Bumble and bumble, Davines, Vidal Sassoon and Great Lengths to create his comfortable and entertaining style he likes to call, “hairapy”.

Matt began his career with Aveda in 2006. Considered a blonde specialist and is platinum certified in tape-in extensions, he's a constant learner -- a new color technique, haircut and simply maintaining his knowledge of the fundamentals, it's important to him to always remain fresh with a thirst for knowledge.
Fascinated by hair styles and color is what brought him into the industry, but working intimately with each client his interest turned in to much more than that- helping people feel their best everyday-- became his passion.
Matt loves working with the red color spectrums, creating the perfect look for the big day for brides and has been a lead stylist at New York Fashion Week since 2010.
Crystal was named “Nashville Best Hair Stylist “ in 2014 by the Nashville Scene writers. She's been working in the industry since 2003. Moving from the Chicagoland area in 2008, Crystal has made Nashville her home with her husband and chihuahuas. Crystal has worked with Aveda for 15 years and has been an educational director for up and coming talent. Crystal is thrilled to work along side the creative stylists at Green Pea Salon.
Crystal keeps her guests looking and feeling current with hair color trends and help them to maintain their look at home with educating them with home-care and styling tips.
